Identity Revealed

Visual artist and film-makers Ellis Faas commissioned to make a film which drew on inspiration from the traditional mask of the Ivory Coast.
She explain- "since ancient times, humans have been using masks, to express power and authority- to feel self-confident, to stand out or to hide behind, to not be recognised or disappear into the masses. Not only a traditional masks but also by disguising or ornamental elements such as clothing, jewellery, hair and make-up. But can one truly change one's identity or it's a merely a temporary transformation and who or what defines someone's true identity. Is it the mask, is it the human being behind the mask behind the mask, or maybe even the creator of the mask"

Well, that is is true what Ellis says, people always cover a faces behind the mask. The Magical Africa- the artists revealed exhibition, both inspires and scares. When I watched a film I had goose skin, for me a little be quirky and definitely I will never had the same imagination like Ellis Faas to create such a big things and the same time crazy things.

Review of "The Taming of the Shrew"

"The Taming of the Shrew" is a comedy written by William Shakespeare between 1590 - 1592. In the Modern World "The Taming of the Shrew" has been a subject of much analytical and critical controversy, often relating to a feminist reading of the play in general.
Is one of the first work of by William, composed of five acts, the story is a set in Papua, like other comedy ends with a happy ending.

Plot

Katherine Minola is a politician in 21st century England. Despite her furious temper she has worked her way up and is on the verge becoming leader of opposition. She is managed by loyal assistant Tim Agnew.
Katherine's sister beautiful model Bianca is being unsuccessfully courted by her manager Harry Kavanagh.Their mother Mrs Minola, is on the look out for a suitor.Enters Harry's;s friend Petruchio, an eccentric man eager, to take on a challenge. Their first and crucial meeting is in the lift.
Somehow to Petruchio manages to get Katherine to marry him and accompany him on a honeymoon in Italy. What fallows is a humiliating but charming battle of wills.
The final scenes introduce elements of irony. Katherine appears to be happily subdued, basking in the stability and love provided by her relationship with Petruchio, and yet she's the one searing the pants- running the country.

My experimentation about Contemporary Make-up Design

I am still working for my final Elizabethan look, its very hard to decide what I want, my first Idea and attempt  was create a  masquerade ball glass, using a gold, black and red colours , the masquerade ball glasses reminder me of 16th century, Elizabeth I era, I am a little bit unsure about this look and still creating something different.

Well, I try to keep Elizabethan red lips, which I love it, using a gold a black colours to create this look reminders my of royalty, luxury and rich accessorizes which they used in 16th Century

Analysis The New Elizabethan in "The Taming of the Shrew"

To analysis  "The Taming of the Shrew " I choose Katherine as New Elizabeth, from  the beginning she acting the same way as she did Elizabeth.
She wearing no make-up, very pale face  with red lips, her hair usually shape in a bun, and very classic uniform reflects her character and temper. Her behave always show people what she wants, and what mood she is in this moment.Even for her wedding dress she chose a very stylish , with a big collar, silky dress, which I really like it.
When she fell in love , which I think she surprise by her self, she becoming different person, her heart getting soften, she become susceptible to male charm, becomes submissive women but still remains of a head family.

When you looking at that particularly picture you can see inner peace appears on her face. This testifies about fulfilled women.
